Accessibility Statement
Last updated: March 2026
Zynopsis Visuals is committed to making zynopsis.studio accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every visitor to be able to browse our work, read our content, and get in touch without barriers.
This statement explains where we are, what we are working on, and how to reach us if something is not working for you.
Standard we follow
We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This is the standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the harmonised European standard EN 301 549. Level AA conformance means our content should be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for the widest possible audience.
What we do
Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy across all pages.
Descriptive alt text on portfolio images and project photography.
Sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds (Ivory on Void achieves 15.2:1, exceeding AAA requirements).
Keyboard-navigable menus, links, buttons, and form controls.
Labelled form fields in the contact form with clear error messaging.
Responsive design that works across screen sizes and devices.
No content that flashes more than three times per second.
Known limitations
We are honest about where the site falls short. Some areas are not yet fully conformant:
Third-party embeds. Some content delivered through Squarespace's native components (galleries, form elements) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We work within the platform's constraints and supplement with custom code where possible.
Older blog content. Some earlier articles may have images without alt text or heading structures that need revision. We are updating these on a rolling basis.
PDF documents. Any downloadable PDFs may not be fully accessible. We can provide alternative formats on request.
Animations. Scroll-reveal animations are used throughout the site. We aim to respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query, but some transitions may still play on devices that do not broadcast this preference.
Compatibility
This site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, in combination with assistive technologies including NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. We use standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No plugins are required.
What we are improving
Completing alt text and heading structure audit across all blog articles.
Adding prefers-reduced-motion support to all scroll and hover animations.
Reviewing focus indicators and tab order across all interactive elements.
Exploring accessible alternatives to image-heavy portfolio galleries.
Report an issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, we want to know. Please contact us with a description of the issue, the page URL, and the assistive technology you were using (if applicable). We will respond within 5 business days.
